Special Exhibition: Spiders

Exhibition Design. Exhibits Installation. Wayfinding

Spiders: Fear to Fascination is a travelling exhibit that the NCMNS brought in for an 8 month period. Working to design, create, produce, and install systems of labels, signage, wayfinding, and graphics. This allowed me to work with many different professionals from a variety of disciplines to help bring this exhibition to life.

Check out this link Instagram from, 'VisitRaleigh' to catch a glimpse of the action our guests were able to get in on during this exhibition.

The exhibit features over 250 real and preserved spiders, including some that are over 100 years old, as well as dozens of live spiders.

Main Teaser Wall

Working closely with our Marketing team, I developed an idea to help give guests a more familiar experience, with our largest teaser wall.
Like our yearbooks of old and those senior accolades such as,”Best Athlete, Best Hair, and Most Likely to be famous.” We brought these fun and approachable accolades to the spiders we wanted to showcase. Making the subject even more approachable before guests have entered the exhibit.
